Not a name dropped into someone else’s story
Most personalised books swap a name and a chosen character into a story that is already written. A Tandem book is made for one child: their face, their name, where they live and the thing they love right now.

What makes a Tandem book different
It looks like them
One photo is all our illustrator needs, and then it is deleted. Only the drawing is kept, and your child is on every page.
It is about them
Tell us where they live and what they love right now. Diggers, dinosaurs, space: the story is built around it, so no two books are the same.
A person reads it first
We are a small team of parents, doctors and child psychologists, and one of us reads every book before it goes to the printer.
Questions, answered plainly.
Can I see the whole book before I pay?
What happens to my photo?
How much is a Tandem book, all in?
What if it arrives and it’s not right?
Standard prices for one book, from each company’s UK website on 29 September 2026, before offers or discount codes. Prices change. If something here is out of date, email hello@playtandem.com and we will fix it.
